Project Construction Manager

$50,000 - $75,000 a year - Full-time
Location: Jacksonville, FL

Best-Tec is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, self-starter to join our team. This job description is not meant to be all-inclusive or restrictive and other duties may be assigned. Project Construction Manager Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate multiple projects to ensure they are completed on time and on budget.

  • Responsible for communication with clients ensuring all orders and change orders are submitted and approved.

  • Organize and plan project tasks and schedules.

  • Plan schedules accordingly taking all aspects of the project into consideration such as scope of work and weather conditions that may affect the project completion date.

  • Work with project supervisors to form project teams based on skills and expertise.

  • Submits contract amendments and change orders.

  • Travel will most likely be necessary.

  • Will need to communicate with multiple offices

Construction Estimator

Construction Estimator Responsibilities:

  • Analyzing requirement documents, blueprints and project plans to gain a thorough understanding of the project.

  • Determining what factors of production will influence the cost of a service or product.

  • Preparing material estimates and cost estimates for the project

  • Creating labor estimates for any project

  • Developing and maintaining relationships with company vendors and contractors

  • Managing bids from vendors and contractors

  • Using bid data to prepare detailed a cost analysis.

  • Presenting prepared estimates to management

  • Traveling to the project site, which may require flights or long drives.

  • Processing work plan narratives and job-related documents as projects are in development.

Coating Removal Specialist

Pay dependent on certification and experience — Full-time
Location: Norfolk, VA; San Diego, CA
Local candidates preferred. Relocation not provided.

Best-Tec is a leader in environmental remediation and corrosion control, known for our patented ICRALA (Induction Coating Removal and Laser Ablation) process. As a Coating Removal Specialist, you'll support advanced surface preparation and corrosion control projects that combine induction coating removal with precision laser ablation. This work removes coatings and corrosion cleanly, preserves the underlying substrate, and prepares surfaces for long-term protection — a safer, more efficient alternative to traditional methods like grit blasting.

We're looking for hardworking, self-motivated individuals ready to build a rewarding career in a growing field. No experience? No problem. We'll train and certify qualified applicants.

What You'll Do

  • Support coating and corrosion removal along with surface preparation to protect assets for the long term

  • Operate and assist with specialized equipment used in the ICRALA process

  • Perform repeated tasks accurately and consistently throughout a project

  • Work efficiently with minimal supervision

  • Travel to project sites and maintain a flexible schedule

What You'll Need

Must-have:

  • Authorization to work in the US

  • A valid driver's license

  • Willingness to travel and work a flexible schedule

  • Ability to work in confined spaces for extended periods, often with breathing equipment required

  • Ability to perform medium to heavy lifting as tasks require

  • A self-motivated approach and strong work ethic

Nice-to-have:

  • Prior experience in construction, industrial services, surface preparation, or coatings removal

  • Bilingual skills

Training & Certification

No prior experience is required. Best-Tec provides full training and certification for qualified applicants, so you can learn the ICRALA process and grow your skills on the job. Candidates who already hold relevant certifications — such as OSHA 10/30, lead abatement, AMPP coatings or marine certifications (e.g., NAVSEA Basic Paint Inspector, S-CAT, Marine Plural Component), or other industry-recognized credentials — are strongly encouraged to apply and may qualify for higher pay based on their experience and certification level.

Location & Work Model

This position is based in Norfolk, VA or San Diego, CA, with travel to project sites. Local candidates are preferred. Relocation is not provided.
